We liked this place very much because it felt intimate and peaceful. It was like we were not in a hotel, like we had the whole house to ourselfs. The rooms were exactly like in the photos. Very close to the Blue Mosque and Grand Bazar. Close to tram station and bus station. We enjoyed the breakfast very much. Again, it was like a family meal, not at a hotel. The host was very nice and answered all our questions, provided recommendations. Thank you very much for making our trip even more beautiful!

The property is on a quiet street in the midst of much of the sightseeing, restaurants, and shopping. There is something interesting in every direction. When you enter the doors from the road, you enter a small oasis with greenery and a lovely peaceful environment. The rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable, and very attractive. We really enjoyed our breakfast each day. The owner takes pride in making his guests feel at home. We had the delight of spending a lot of time with him as we talked about Istanbul and Turkey as a whole. He is an invaluable source of information about Turkey, past and present. Thank you Deniz for helping us plan a wonderful itinerary when we return and get to see more of Turkey (only visited Istanbul this visit). Also thank you for your many kindnesses, assistance, and friendship.

It is a small hotel with only 4 rooms and the owner, Deniz, really liked making sure that all his guests had anything they needed. A plus, the owner had the cutest cat, Güneş, who welcomed us every morning

Property host Deniz is exceptional. He was very warm and welcoming and went out of his way to make our stay memorable. The location of the property is fantastic, only walking distance to all the attractions Istanbul has to offer. We especially looked forward to the traditional Turkish breakfast served up each morning and the chat with Deniz about what sites and attractions to visit. He is a living history encyclopaedia and staunch tourist ambassador for Turkey.

It's a beautiful property located very close to sultanahmet . It's walking distance to little hagia Sofia and the locality is beautiful. The room is very spacious and clean and the staff was kind enough to make us vegetarian and vegan food . The photos of the view from the terrace is not from the property and is most probably from the nearby sphendone wall . Overall a wonderful stay is a very well situated place!

Tatiana was amazing, so helpful to us. The room was huge and the bed super comfortable. Even my partner whose over 6ft fit comfortably. The location is perfect. Very much recommended though if you are a light sleeper be aware you can hear the call to prayer. The kitten on the premises is super adorable. We will stay here again on our next visit!

Deniz & Tatiana are wonderful hosts. Our room was spacious and very quiet at night, even though the hotel is close to many points of interest. The Wi-Fi is strong, as is the AC (important during these hot Istanbul summer days). Breakfast was basic but sufficient for a good start to the day. We had a very enjoyable stay at Villa Sphendone.

Everything was perfect, and unexpected! the location was ideal, you couldn’t ask for better spot close to all historical sites of old Istanbul. the best part, was our host Deniz! He took such good care of us and was proud to show us a genuine welcome and tour of the area. We were introduced to so many Great local shops and restaurants because of his guidance. The value of this place was amazing. we stayed in the Sofia room. .Our stay was short but our memories will be forever. Would definitely recommend for anyone to make this their primary place to stay when visiting old Istanbul.

Deniz and his family are very good people and hosts. The location is very good and all the major attractions are within a walking distance of around 01 km. or probably even lesser. The rooms are big with antique furniture and are clean. Almost like they are in the pictures. Would recommend this Villa.
